ABC to read has an obligation to ask all our volunteers to consider whether they may be disqualified from working or volunteering with children and, if they are, to tell us about it straight away.

In order to meet our obligations, we issue all new applicants with a letter explaining the disqualification criteria and the actions that are required from the volunteer. We also re-issue this letter (suitably updated if changes to regulations occur) annually in September to all our volunteers.
