Our Ready to Read workshop  is  designed to  give busy parents lots of ideas and tips on how they can promote and develop their children’s reading. The workshop focuses on lots of fun activities that can quickly and easily be implemented and establish beneficial and enjoyable routines.

The workshop is interactive and uses a range of activities to help parents understand how they can help their children to succeed and enjoy learning.  The length of the workshop can be adapted according to the audience.

  • Speaking, listening and interacting with your child
  • Pre-reading experiences and how they promote reading
  • Strategies for helping children with their reading
  • Supporting children’s reading – role play exercises
  • Encouragement and praise
  • Exploring picture books
  • Reading comprehension and asking the right questions
  • Rhyming
  • Overcoming difficulties
  • Having fun together
